Oh my.. cool.

OMG.. I think i must be lagging for like centuries?
I was searching for 시원's new drama series.. (he's the leadXD)
apparently it's called "Oh! My Lady"..
and guess what? the female lead is 박채림from "Dalja's Spring"!!!
She's like 31 (33 in korean years) and 시원is 23 (25 in korean years)?!
and i just realised that 이민키from "Dalja's Spring" acted in "Rainbow Romance"
along with 희철 and 키범!!! and he sings!! he released an EP last year...
my goodness.. was I hiding in a dinosaur egg or sth?
lol..

darn.. paper 1 on monday..
looking forward to watching Monga though...
just to clarify.. i'm not interested just cuz Ethan and Mark or any other "hot" guys are acting..
I'm psychic over it cuz it's COOL and not "lacy and dainty"..
i watched the behind the scenes and i think it's super cool..
partly becuz there were alot of emotions behind the scenes... if you get what i mean..
haha...

ok. firstly, today i had oral exams..
i thought the topic was quite cool (about food)
i felt like suddenly all my knowledge frm geography came flowing out..
but the teacher didn't seem to be interested..
it felt as though she alr gave me a score and is waiting for me to finish speaking..
but when i do, she asked another quetion..lol

secondly, i went to yijing's birthday party today..
it was really cool and i had a great time hanging out wiz my friends:)
yijing looked like a pretty pink princess with SUPER high heels..lol

last but not least, yesterday was officially choir handover..
which means my AHSCHOIR life ended yesterday..
my juniors told me the day before that i was gonna cry..
haha. but i assured them that i wldn't and i dun see any reason for me to cry..
so on fri, ppl tried ways and means to make me cry but i just didn't..
until we started singing..
i have no idea why..
we sounded horrible but tears filled my eyes...
especially UBI CARiTAS..
when the new comm was announced, i felt so happy for them
and i was reminded of the time when i first step up and was so happy i made it into comm.

so i was haing mixed feelings. i was happy for my juniors but yet sad to leave..
i managed to give mr toh and the teachers their letter.yay!
i guess it's late now and i'm lazy to continue typing...
so catch up next time yea?haha.

ITALY.. (Riva Del Garda+Venice+Milan) 26/3 - 3/4

yep.. finally posting.. cuz i seriously was very busy and am still very busy...
busy catching up with the one week of lesson i missed of course..
anyway..

Concorso Corale Internazionale.
yep.. that was the main aim of the trip.
Competition was Riva but we also got the privilege to tour a little in Milan and Venice..

well, for the competition, we lost but we've also won..
we didn't win and we didn't really lose..
confusing? not really.
we got a Gold Diploma level 2.
if i'm not wrong, we got 22/30.
many of you would probably say that we won cuz of the gold..
but we lost to ourselves.
We weren't our best on stage..
if anyone heard us in our rehearsal room, they'll probably think that it was another choir on stage.
seriously. It was sub-standard.
which is why we were the only singaporean choir which didn't get into grand finals..

I don't know why but the moment i got off stage i just burst out crying...
i was already trying to hold it in on stage..
so i guess i just lost it when i went backstage..
sorry for causing the other members tears too...
Mr Toh had a talk with us when we returned to the hotel..
yes, it was emo talk and the whole choir cried..
Mr Toh cried..and the more he talked the more we cried..
the tears were never ending...
and we were all practically wailing...
especially the sec 4s. cuz it was our last performance with choir and everything..
but i guess we all learnt a lesson and it was an experience for us..
not gonna go into anymore emo, sad, depressing details..
cuz i've cried alot and i really don't wanna have the same feelings all over again..
decided to think positive and that's that.

so, abt all the tours and sight-seeing...
very interesting actually... learning abt their history and culture..
observing their daily life and stuff...
and definitely a different experience for me..
enjoying myself but at the same time trying to maintain discipline in choir..
haha...
at dubai airport, my favourite moment was when i was sipping my starbucks mocha..
haha...love it!!!!
anyway..
our first stop was MILAN...
yep. visited the Duomo..
one of the world's largest gothic cathedrals..
the structure itself is way cool and the inside...
you'll never see anything like that in singapore...really.
they have paintings and glass paintings that tells a story..
structures of saints...
luminous candles lit the sides of the cathedrals..
and despite having some light bulbs hanging from above, the cathedral is relatively dim..
i suppose it'll be really dark if not for the sunlight that shone through the glass windows..
displaying the beautiful glass paintings..
something you'll have to be there to feel and cannot be explained fully in words...
visited a castle as well..
Castello Sforzesco..
quite a huge place.. took some photos..
didn't really catch what the guide was saying(she has an Italian accent..duh.)
walked through the Glass-domed galleria..
VERY crowded..
there was this hole on the floor and it's believed that if you step on the hole with your heel and turn one round, you'll get good luck...
i think sherrie tried..haha.
spotted Mcdonald's, some cafe/ristorante,lotsa shops..
saw Prada, Gucci and Louis Vuitton...haha.
had a little free time so i went and looked around with the sec ones...
end up meeting the sec 3s as well..lol.
and yes, explored the toilet, which was rather interesting..
had dinner and was shocked that the starter was a plate of pasta..
and there was still main course and dessert..
lol.. tried dipping bread with vinegar and olive oil..(Italian delicacy)
i thought it was pretty good.. maybe cuz i have a thing for vinegar:) 
checked in and zzzz...

had some prob with the time the next morning cuz of daylight saving-.-
so ended up rushing like mad..
we stopped at Verona for a while..
visited Giuliette home/castle or sth like that..
yes, Giuliette = Juliet(from romeo and juliet)
there were lotsa love notes and wishes pasted all over the wall..
and there was a statue of her-- the spotlight of the place..
i dunno why but everyone took photo with the statue with their hands on her boobs..
maybe it's suppose to bless you with a flourishing love life..
haha...
well, after Verona, we headed for Riva to prepare for competition..
stayed for abt 4 days there, roomed with sherrie and huikay..haha.
we had this rehearsal room underground which is very echo-y. yes. underground.i think it's cool.
quite fun... in between there were lotsa shopping in the town, GELATO, PANINI, PASTA, LASAGNE etc... all these were enjoyed in the town area in Riva..
oh, and lotsa supermarket shopping:) bought chocs, water(super cheap), cheese, granola bars(cheap also)...
most of our trip was in Riva so i'll just cut it short..
oh yes, and we met our seniors in MJ over there as well..
they were sooo good..haha..
i love them man.. i know they love ahschoir as well:)

after competition, we headed for VENICE..
took a ferry to St Marc's Square and toured for i dunno how long..
quite a few hours i suppose.. SUPER CROWDED...
followed a guide with an italian+japanese accent..
i'm not being mean but i seriously strained my ears to understand her..
and when i say strain, i mean really strain... until my ears ached...
so in the end i just gave up listening to her...
so if i was lucky i'll pick up a few key words that sounded clearer..
saw the gondole, did some shopping, visited the glass factory..
it was really cool..
this super muscular guy just made a glass vase right in front of our eyes in mins..
it was really cool.. the glass was molten and he just blew it through the pole and it swelled like a balloon, forming a vase shape..
super cool..
but the things there are super expensive..
well, that's cuz everything is handmade...
still, we can't really afford them...
after shopping we took a ferry back and had dinner...
dinner was... unusual..
don't realy wanna explain here...
don't think i should talk abt it on my blog.. i mean, it's kinda open right?..
so..yea. we went supermaket again and checked in to this very luxurious hotel...
i love the hotel...haha

had this rather sad feeling when i woke up cuz it was our last day...
dreading to return like mad...
but still, i'm back..-.-
i realised many things cannot be captured with cameras or explained in words..
you MUST be there to feel and understand...
if i have a chance, i'll definitely go again...


Just wanted to say that there were some really interesting events and incident during the trip..
but if i were to type it all out, i think i'll end up typing 2000 words essay..
so yea.. i cut everything short..
